GnuCash is a free opensource personal and small-business financial-accounting software, licensed under GNU GPL.

The latest stable version Gnu Cash available for download is Gnu Cash 2.2.5 and can be compiled from source or can be installed from the openSUSE repositories (2.2.4-27.1)

Pre-Requisites

Gnu Cash cash requires GNOME 2.x desktop environment, guile & slib.

Install Pre-Requisites

opensuse:~# yast2 –install guile slib

Install Gnu Cash

opensuse:~# yast2 –install gnucash

This should install the latest available Gnu Cash version 2.2.4-27.1 from the repository. This should install Gnu Cash under the Application – Office menu. When you start the first time, it takes you through the wizard to create a new file for your accounts.
