To install aMSN on your openSUSE, click this 1-click installer (YaST MetaPackages) from packman supporting openSUSE 11.0/10.3.10.2 & SuSE 10.1/10.0. This will automatically download the YMP file and launch YaST Package Manager.
NOTE: Click here to enable 1-click install feature in openSUSE 10.2
Click Next in the window showing the Install description and next again on the installation proposal window. This will start adding the required repositories and install the aMSN package and the required dependencies. Click Finish when the successfully installed on your openSUSE.
Once installed, you can find “aMSN” can be found under “Application – Internet – Chat“.
Click aMSN to launch your MSN client. The welcome screen pops up. Login with your username and password and you login status message (online/invisible etc).
To change plugins and skins or set preferences for aMSN, select the appropriate under Accounts menu. Every other option including Contacts etc are just from menus as in MSN Messenger client.
