How to send email with attachments from command line

This is a quick tip for all those beginers on openSUSE, SUSE Linux or even for that matter on any Linux or Unix distros on how to send an email from command line with an attachment. This could be a text or an image file.

acripper – Automatically Rip Audio CDs to ogg,mp3 in openSUSE

Automatic Command-line Ripper (acripper) is a free opensource tool for ripping and encoding CD tracks on the fly. It also tries to get the CD information from feeddb.org, a CDDB website and writes it to the encoded files. If no information from freedb.org is available, it then tries to read CD information (CD title, artist name, tracks names) from a text file names “titles.txt” in the working directory.

ManDVD – DVD authoring software to create Home Video DVDs in openSUSE

ManDVD is a free opensource GUI based KDE DVD Authoring software to create DVDs from video files from the Hard Disk. ManDVD helps create, customize the DVD menus including extracting image from videos, manage subtitles, define chapters, adding video effects. With ManDVD, you can reencode audio with Ac3 to ensure that most of the DVD players can play sound from the DVD you create.
